Black seed

black seed (Nigella sativa) a species of plants of the genus buttercup, their fruits contain black, angular seeds, hence the name of the plant. It was known in Ancient Egypt from at least 1550. B.C.E. Two jugs with its seeds were found in the tomb of Tutankhamen (circa 1340 BC). Today it is known to us as a spice and medicinal plant.
